Getting to Bacalar, Mexico.

Travel to and from Bacalar is not included in the retreat fee, but we're happy to help you plan the journey.

Option 1 — Fly into Tulum (TQO) and take the Tren Maya (recommended for East Coast travelers)
Tulum's airport now has direct flights from several East Coast cities, including New York, Atlanta, and Fort Lauderdale/Orlando. From Tulum, the Tren Maya to Bacalar takes about 3 hours, with fares running roughly $20–75 USD depending on class.

Option 2 — Fly into Cancún (CUN) and take the Tren Maya
Cancún has the widest overall selection of direct US flights if Tulum doesn't have a convenient route from your city. From Cancún, the Tren Maya to Bacalar takes about 3.5–4 hours.

Option 3 — Fly into Chetumal (CTM) via Mexico City
Chetumal Airport has no direct US flights, so this route means connecting through Mexico City (about a 2-hour domestic flight) before a 30–40 minute drive to Bacalar. Connecting flights to Chetumal tend to depart Mexico City early in the morning, so we recommend arriving in Mexico City at least one night before your onward flight — let us know if you'd like hotel recommendations there.

Let us know your preference and if you need further information.
